Who we are
Make Me Social is a Wellington-based digital marketing agency working with clients across New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you use our contact or enquiry forms we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, business name, and your message. Our website host also records standard technical information such as IP addresses and pages visited, which we use in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel to help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising and understand how people interact with our website. When you visit our website, Meta may receive information such as the pages you visit (page URLs) and the website or source you came from (referrer information), in accordance with Meta’s privacy practices.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, provide the services you've asked about, and — only if you ask us to — keep you informed about our work. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we don't use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
Your information is stored with the reputable service providers that run our website, forms, and email. They process it on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We only disclose personal information beyond that where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any ongoing relationship that follows, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. To do either, email info@makemesocial.co.nz and we'll respond within 20 working days.
Questions or concerns
If you have a question or concern about how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll do our best to put it right. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
